This weekend proved to be THE COLD one in SA and boy am I glad I have swapped my bike and running shoes for a skipping rope.
Esrie and I hoped off the the gym on Saturday morning and I managed to get a good skipping session while she ran on the treadmill.
I personally would have preferred to stay at home and not have to go outside to get in the car and then out again to get into the gym....HAHA
I got to be honest I havent been doing anything else except skipping, which is proving hard, especially at the gym where Esrie popped off to go have a sauna while I had to sit in the coffee area and have a coffee....my one for the day.
Well, I hope all the runners in Knysna had the opportunity to make up for the weekend, I know we were disappointed as I have been working with a very talented female athlete. She has had some below par performances over the last couple of years and we have re aligned her goals and are on the way back to greatness. She is a previous winner of the Knysna half and we making a bid on the full.
However, these things happen for a reason and we are now readjusting our goals and dreams and working towards Two Oceans Marathon next year. Being a 74min 21.1km runner, I know she has the pedigree, talent and mind to make it a success and challenge the front girls, so watch this space.
A big up to the CAVEMAN for winning his 6th US pro Xterra race of the season
